Christopher Peter Meloni is an American actor and is famous as a character actor in the cult show 'Law and Order' on television. Special Victims Unit. When he was in college, he began to take an interest in acting. In his school, the University of Colorado at Boulder where he was studying acting. Although he's been active in films and TV, but it was his character on the smaller screen that have earned him recognition and fan following. His ability to portray characters that are both law enforcement and criminal has caught the eye of audiences. He played the part of one of the killers in his very first series on television however he later went on portray the character of an NYPD detective. The small screen performances of his have been recognized with multiple Emmy Awards nominations and PRISM Awards. His piercingly blue eyes his face are considered as the most attractive characteristic. Also, they are regarded as an iconic feature, and they have been credited as helping him to portray people who are rough, yet likable. In 2006, he appeared in the publication's Sexiest Men Alive list.
